Plastering is renowned for being a messy trade so we make sure we cover and protect all surfaces to ensure mess is kept to a minimum.

There are two types of interior plastering:

Skimming

Skimming can be applied over existing plastered walls or onto new plasterboard. It’s applied in two coats to a 3-5mm depth finish and is then troweled and left with a smooth finish.

Float and Set

Float and set is a method used for covering brick or blockwork with plaster. First the basecoat is applied to a depth between 8 – 12mm. Then, using a straight edge, the wet plaster is made flat and level. Finally, any small bumps or trowel marks are removed using a float. Once set, a smooth topcoat can be applied.
